Qatar Airways to launch Boeing 787 "dream liner" to Kiev (photo)

Qatar Airways will launch a long-range, new-generation Boeing 787-8, also known as a "dream liner", between Doha and Kiev.  avianews.com. As it became known, it will start flights to Ukraine from March 29, 2020, when the summer flight schedule will enter into force, and will operate daily flights of QR 295 / QR 296 instead of A320 and A330. The feature of the Boeing 787-8 is the large portholes, which are dimmed by a button, large shelves for carry-on luggage, support for greater humidity and pressure that is close to ground pressure. Third tanker for Dutch company VEKA Shipbuilding launched at Kherson shipyard (photo)

  Smart Maritime Group (SMG Kherson Shipyard) held the launching ceremony of the third saturated hull of the SYNERGY chemical tanker for the Dutch company VEKA Shipbuilding WT B.V. SYNERGY chemical tanker was built at Kherson Shipyard by the Dutch CAVALLI project. The deadweight of the vessel is 5320 tons, length is 110 m, width - 13,5 m, height of the board - 6,6 m. The tanker is intended for transportation of oil products and chemical cargoes on inland waterways of Europe. As part of the contract, the company manufactured the hull, assembled all-purpose piping systems, deck saturation, and painted the hull. The order was completed within 8 months. The contract value is 2.5 million euros. 1200 tonnes of high quality shipbuilding steel, manufactured mainly at MMC and Azovstal combines of Metinvest, were used in the manufacture of the vessel. Smart Meritame Group is working on the construction of a fourth similar chemical tanker, and recently the shipowner expressed satisfaction
