For the first time in history, male football fans will actually WANT to be pulled over at the airport and given a thorough pat down while  making their way to Euro 2012 this summer . The staff checking passports at Ukraine's  Borispol airport, near Kiev, are nothing like the stereotypical border guards that one imagines at an Eastern European checkpoint. Indeed, they are unlike any border guards at any airport - with their manicured nails, perfect make-up and not-a-strand-out-of-place hairstyles. The young female guards in their severe military uniforms, waiting for their turn to be given a professional make-over, look like they might be models in a men's magazine photo shoot or a slick airline television commercial. But they are all border guards for a living, and their special pampering is part of a bizarre initiative to provide 'master classes' in grooming. A visit to Kiev is truly awe-inducing and it's almost hard to believe that women this beautiful even exist. They're also less intimidating than their Russian counterparts. Check out Kiev in the summertime, when Hydropark Island on the Dnieper River becomes a hot spot for sunbathing Ukrainian beauties. And for anyone who thinks that  beautiful women  must be vapid as well, Ukrainian  women  are ready to disprove that theory. The women  in the country are well educated and always ready to talk about literature or philosophy.

Poland and Ukraine filled the remaining places on their Friends of UEFA EURO 2012 rosters at the end of  September, with a mixture of high-profile personalities and competition winner joining the campaign to promote next summer's tournament. Transport in Kyiv during Euro-2012

During EURO 2012 many roads of Kiev City will be blocked and the center of Kiev will become totally pedestrian. For more than a month, Khreshchatyk Street will be completely blocked, and a fan area will be arranged there. Since May 25 to July 1, the fan area will be exclusively for pedestrians. Also, fans who come by busses or car should know that during the days of match such streets as Khreshchatyk, Krasnoarmeyskaya, Fedorova, Barbyusa, as well as Laboratornyi Lane, L. Ukrainka Boulevard, Basseynaya Street, and L. Tolstogo Square will be closed. During the match, only guests, special equipment and local dwellers will be able to enter that area after showing their passport. Between the matches, this area will be working in the regular mode, except Khreshchatyk Street. During the days of match, it is planned to close some metro stations as well. For instance, “Olimpiyskaya” and “Dvorets Sporta” will be closed for the football day for 24 hours to avoid over-crowding and emergencies. Ma
