Statement of Avangard agricultural holding on significant losses of production capacity due to Russian aggression

 

 

 Agroholding Avangard, one of the leading producers of chicken eggs in Ukraine, reports significant losses in production capacity due to Russian aggression. A number of key poultry farms have been shut down and de-energized, birds have been left without food and doomed to extinction, and financial losses currently amount to UAH 1.5 billion.
In particular, the largest poultry farm in Europe "Chornobayevskaya" in the Kherson region due to hostilities by Russia was left without the ability to feed poultry, transport workers to work and export finished products that threaten bird extinction and subsequent environmental disaster. The poultry farm is completely de-energized and production is completely stopped. Despite the shelling, some of the finished products and chickens were distributed to the local population, but most of the birds die due to the impossibility of feeding them. About 3 million chickens will die without the ability to dispose of them. In the near future, other key enterprises of the agricultural holding may find themselves in a similar situation - in particular, the poultry farm of the village. Makariv and a poultry farm near Brovary, Kyiv region. The losses of these enterprises alone will amount to 1 million birds.

The total financial losses of the agricultural holding due to the Russian aggression are currently estimated at about UAH 1.5 billion. In addition, the closure of key industries could lead to a shortage of chicken eggs in Ukraine. The inability to dispose of the millions of birds that die poses a threat of environmental disaster. For objective reasons, agricultural holding companies are not able to solve these problems and insure their employees without government assistance.

In addition, even in such conditions, Avangard provides all possible assistance to the population and armed forces of Ukraine: since the beginning of the Russian aggression in coordination with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Avangard donates hundreds of thousands of eggs for defense, provides the army with fuel and lubricants and necessary equipment, including trucks, and Avangard workers defend the country in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
