From May this year to July, 35,193 tourists arrived in Ukraine from Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia. More than 85% of all tourists from the Gulf region (29,809 people) are citizens of Saudi Arabia. This is 8 times more than in pre-crisis 2019. The second country in terms of the number of tourists is the United Arab Emirates, 2,677 tourists in three months, and the third - Oman - 1,007 tourists. The interest of the residents of the Arabian Peninsula in Ukraine is connected with the introduction of a visa-free regime, the opening of new direct flights and the "thaw" after a year of quarantine. According to Visit Ukraine, one vacationer from the Persian Gulf countries spends an average of 2.5 thousand US dollars in 5-7 days in Ukraine.
