The Stadler Flirt train arrived in Ukraine for testing
On Saturday, August 14, a five-car Stadler Flirt EPM electric train (interregional electric train) was delivered to Kyiv for testing.
The train arrived from Belarus, where it was built on the facilities of CJSC Stadler Minsk.
According to available information, the warehouse will be tested in one of the suburban areas of Kyiv. It is obvious that this is due to the implementation of the previously announced City Express project, as in May Ukrzaliznytsia and the Swiss company signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation. Then the companies agreed to jointly develop passenger rail transport in Ukraine within the City Express project and work on attracting funding.
In June, it was reported that Stadler had chosen a location to deploy a plant for the production of electric trains in Ukraine and was ready to provide 1-2 electric trains for testing.
The maximum speed of the EPm electric train is 160 km / h. The train has 262 seats for 1st and 2nd class, as well as seats for passengers with disabilities.
