"Flowers grew at the fourth power unit" (1990) by Ukrainian artist Maria Primachenko



The painting "Flowers grew at the fourth power unit" (1990) by Ukrainian artist Maria Primachenko was sold on May 5 for 500 thousand dollars (33 million rubles at the current exchange rate). It is reported that the money will go to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This is the most expensive painting by a Ukrainian artist sold after the independence of Ukraine, that is, after 1991.

Maria Primachenko lived all her life in the village of Bolotnya, Kyiv region, 49 km from Chernobyl.
