Will Smith Slaps Ukraine Kissing TV Reporter 1+1 channel on Red Carpet (video!)

Will Smith let his homophobia get the better of him today while on the red carpet promoting his new film “Men in Black 3″ in the Ukraine. He pushed back and slapped a foreign reporter who tried to kiss him.

“Whoa hey, what the hell is your problem, man,” Smith said after pushing the reporter away. “Hey, he tried to kiss me on my mouth,” he told the next reporter in line.

Will should take some sensitivity training and learn a little bit about local custom. In the Ukraine and throughout most of Eastern Europe, it’s common for men to kiss each other on each cheek as a greeting.

It’s as common as shaking hands here, which Will did with the reporter before the man leaned in and planted his lips on both of Will’s cheeks.

The incident was caught on tape and showed Smith angrily pushing him away and giving him a light backhand him across the face. Smith who was with his publicist looked irritated, but was laughing about it moments later.

“He’s lucky I ain’t sucker punch him,” the actor said. “It’s all good.”

The television reporter often kisses celebrities; it’s sort of his trademark, according to gossip site TMZ.

For the record, Will just came out in support of gay marriage.

The reporter’s mouth reportedly brushed up against Will’s and ticked off the actor, TMZ reported. If it had been a woman would Smith’s reaction have been the same?
