Want to know everything ABOUT INVESTMENTS? Here are 10 podcasts and YouTube channels

Recently, the founder of monobank Oleg Gorokhovsky said that the bank is preparing to launch the opportunity to buy securities of American companies very soon. In response - hundreds of comments "let's hurry!". This is not surprising: we see an example of the States, where almost a housewife can buy shares of oil or airlines. And what about Ukraine? Deposits, apartments or the effort to buy something on US stock exchanges.

But let's be honest: the beautiful pictures of investment and success that we are shown in Hollywood movies are only part of the truth. Investing is a risky activity that you need to be prepared for and at least on an amateur level to understand what and why.

 1.
Ukrainian YouTube channel hosted by financial expert Lubomyr Ostapiv and his colleagues from iPlan. Lubomyr and iPlan help people to properly organize their finances, teach investments and tell about all the interesting things and novelties from the world of investments. For example, in one of the latest videos, Lubomyr talks about the land market, which, we recall, was recently opened in Ukraine.

Lubomyr's content is perfect for listening to. He talks to experts on specific topics or tells what and why.
The big plus of the channel is the diversity of information: there is information for investors, for families, for those who want to provide a decent pension and so on. By the way, if you prefer to read, there is a site.

It is interesting to listen to Lubomyr, because he passed most of the information through himself. For example, I learned about him when I saw his reports on the beginning of the formation of their own savings and investments in shares of Ukrainian companies. There are almost no podcasts on investor topics in Ukraine, so Lubomyr's content is a must have.

2.
The podcast We Study Billionaires has been published for several years and has a significant archive - at the time of preparation of the material there are more than 400 issues. Its hosts are Preston Push and Stig Brodersen. The guys have an ideal experience for conducting such a project: both first worked as journalists, then - in investment companies. This helps make the podcast interesting, rich, logical, and most importantly, informative: they know what they're talking about.
We Study Billionaires - about everything that happens in the market: it's a discussion of trade wars, and cryptocurrencies, and exchanges, and real estate. Topics are as different as possible, so you can find what is interesting to you. Moreover, Preston and Stig often invite guests, including, for example, Warren Buffett.

3.
THE INVESTING FOR BEGINNERS

Andrew Sutter and Dave Ahern are private investors: they invest in their own funds, not members of a large fund. Accordingly, their content is built for the same as they are - private investors who are willing to invest in the market on their own. The main focus is on those who are just beginning their journey. For example, they suggest how to safely invest your own money, which stocks are best to choose, and how to follow international news properly, rather than tossing away from every statement from the president or the conditional IMF.
Important: this is a podcast for those who want to invest, ie invest for the long term, not trading. Issue length - from 30 minutes to an hour, with the new HUAWEI FreeBuds 4i you can listen to almost two dozen.

 4. "Light up targets" - another channel from a person from the company iPlan. The channel is run by financial advisor Roman Koshovsky. He shoots videos on various topics, talks about books and psychology, and the main focus is finance, including personal. Lots of videos on how to set financial goals, achieve them, as well as financial literacy.
The podcast is published in Ukrainian. Beginners will first be interested in videos about savings and how to behave with money. In addition, the channel broadcasts interviews with people who already have certain skills and can share their experiences. The videos last up to 20 minutes, long interviews - about an hour.

5. MASTERS
IN BUSINESS

It would be strange if one of the world's major business media did not have its own investment podcast. But the scale of the publication, of course, makes its adjustments: in the project Masters in Business from Bloomberg, topics are usually not for beginners. Here, podcast presenter Barry Ritholtz talks to prominent investors from huge funds and investment banks on global issues, conducts in-depth analysis for a better understanding of the market, analyzes the world's best practices.
If you invest hundreds of dollars a month - maybe the project is not quite for you. But suddenly you are interested in understanding the format of thinking of people who manage billions of dollars - welcome.

6. TWO CENTS

A cool YouTube channel for those who will appreciate both the funny picture and a certain ease from the hosts. Here it is all, because the leaders are not some super managers of a huge fund, but an ordinary married couple. Well, not quite normal - they have the appropriate financial education and experience, but they do not flaunt it, and in simple words talk about finances.
The channel is a bit wider than just investing in stocks: it's also about financial literacy, personal financial habits, family finances, and so on. A big plus for those who don't have time to listen to the podcast for an hour is the length of the issues: they usually last about 10 minutes.

7.

MONEY FOR THE REST OF US

A podcast of the same name in the past by American financial analyst and now financial adviser David Stein. His podcast is called DIY - Do It Yourself in other words - it helps to understand the topic of investment and finance. The main idea is to explain everything so that the information is clear and can be used by everyone, not just experts. The podcast lasts up to 30 minutes and is published in English. Money For the Rest of Us is interesting to me precisely because of the selection of topics that are raised there: investments in water (unusual, right?), Cryptocurrencies and various non-obvious companies.

 8. WEALTH HACKER
A great example of a personal blog, when the author tells not a theory, but shares his own experience. Wealth Hacker is Jeff Rose's YouTube channel, where he talks about how he makes money himself and how you can at least repeat the experience, or do even better. The channel is interesting because Rose talks not only about the stock market, but also about other ways of earning, investing and financial instruments.
For example, the United States has a well-developed market for "sports cards" on which you can make good money by successfully investing. Rose shares her experience on this topic.

Of course, you need to remember that this is a personal blog, so here you can find a video on "Bitcoin will be $ 400,000." Releases last from 5-6 minutes to half an hour.

9. UKRINVEST CLUB

Another YouTube channel that is often praised in the post-Soviet space is "Money Doesn't Sleep," run by private trader Vasyl Oliynyk and journalist Yana Azevych. They turn their channel into a whole show and talk about everything related to the stock market: stocks, bonds, ETFs, forecasts, news.
The peculiarity of this project is the format of the show, and not just a "talking head" or a voice-over. It will be interesting for those who like to perceive information visually, not audibly. Releases last about an hour.

10. BARRON`S In the United States, there is a project called Barron's - a professional media platform for investors, which accumulates all the thematic information on investment. If you want to know about the new company's IPO, the reasons for the market crash or Boeing's exit plan from the crisis - here you are. Barron`s has its own video platform, as well as several thematic podcasts: Barron`s creates content that is of interest to professionals, as well as those who are actively interested in the topic of investment. Videos are usually very short, a few minutes, podcasts - up to half an hour. Ideal to listen on the way to work. Numbers - is published every day when there is a trade, but in an interesting format: the trading day is shown through the prism of the three most significant numbers. Street Wise - published weekly, discussing the most important insiders and news from Wall Street. They promise that you will not hear anything like this anywhere else.
