German railway carrier Deutsche Bahn sent 63 generators to Ukrzaliznytsia, plans to transfer 325 more in January

The German railway carrier Deutsche Bahn sent generators to Ukrzaliznytsia to help it operate in the face of a shortage of electricity caused by Russia's shelling of its energy infrastructure.

The first batch of 63 generators was sent on Friday from the railway station in Hannover to Kyiv, and in January, Deutsche Bahn plans to transfer 325 more smaller emergency generators. The transfer is gratuitous assistance of Ukrzaliznytsia. As Deutsche Bahn CEO Richard Lutz explained, the generators will provide electricity and heating to railway stations and repair plants, and will also be used directly on trains. 325 emergency power generators, which will be received by Ukrzaliznytsia in January, will be used to provide electricity to passengers and jobs of Ukrainian railway workers. In September, Deutsche Bahn and Ukrzaliznytsia signed a memorandum of understanding in which they agreed on a long-term partnership. First of all, we are talking about assistance in the post-war restoration of railways and the modernization of freight corridors and terminals.
