Ukrainian runner Natalya Prishchepa became the first ever sportswoman, who managed to defend the title of the European champion at a distance of 800 meters. Ukrainian finished first at the European Championship in Berlin with the result of 2: 00.38 min. In 2016 in Amsterdam Natalia also became the first, having overcome a distance for 1: 59.70 min.
Note that on the podium in Berlin, also rose Ukrainian Lyakhovaya Olga, who won 800 m bronze.
