Men's national team of Ukraine in fencing gained the silver of the World Championship

Men's national team of Ukraine in fencing in the final of the team tournament at the World Cup lost to the national team of France - 37:45.


The composition of our team for this match was as follows: Bogdan Nikishin, Igor Reizlin, Anatoly Gerei and Roman Svichkar.
The French were considered the undisputed favorites of the finals, but our guys were able to give a real fight to an eminent rival.
Our boys began to fight not very confidently, but on the move thanks to Spurk Svicharka got assured and to the final match came up with a score of 35:35.
In the last match, Anatoly Gerei confronted the three-time world champion and Olympic champion Rio-2016 in the team squad Yannik Borel. Unfortunately, the Frenchman's experience played a major role. As a result, our team gave way - 37:45.

Snichkar at the start of the team tournament defeated teams of Kong (45:40), Hungary
(45:36) and Italy (37:34). In the semifinals, the Ukrainians defeated China (38:24) and then France, which is rather easily dealt with last year’s champion
team Switzerland (45:27).
