Third tanker for Dutch company VEKA Shipbuilding launched at Kherson shipyard (photo)

 


Smart Maritime Group (SMG Kherson Shipyard) held the launching ceremony of the third saturated hull of the SYNERGY chemical tanker for the Dutch company VEKA Shipbuilding WT B.V.


SYNERGY chemical tanker was built at Kherson Shipyard by the Dutch CAVALLI project. The deadweight of the vessel is 5320 tons, length is 110 m, width - 13,5 m, height of the board - 6,6 m. The tanker is intended for transportation of oil products and chemical cargoes on inland waterways of Europe.

As part of the contract, the company manufactured the hull, assembled all-purpose piping systems, deck saturation, and painted the hull. The order was completed within 8 months. The contract value is 2.5 million euros. 1200 tonnes of high quality shipbuilding steel, manufactured mainly at MMC and Azovstal combines of Metinvest, were used in the manufacture of the vessel.

Smart Meritame Group is working on the construction of a fourth similar chemical tanker, and recently the shipowner expressed satisfaction with the plans and announced plans to build a fifth corps.
