The son of the ex-owner of Motor Sich bought an island in Italy for 10 million euros
The island of Gallinara in Italian Liguria was sold a few days ago for more than 10 million euros. It was bought by the son of the former owner of the Motor Sich company, ex-regional Vyacheslav Boguslaev.
It is reported by the Italian edition Corriere della Sera.
“This is the only real island in Liguria: a nature reserve, rich in history, 1.5 kilometers from the coast between Albenga and Alacia, which for centuries belonged to the Church, and then, in the last 150 years, to wealthy bankers and industrialists,” the media said.
According to him, the island, which in the Middle Ages served as a refuge for popes, was bought by Alexander Boguslaev from nine families of owners who had owned Gallinara for more than 40 years. Boguslaev bought their houses on top of the island separately at a price of, according to some sources, several million euros.
According to the newspaper, 42-year-old Alexander Boguslaev has citizenship of Grenada. Negotiations on the acquisition of the island began in May this year and ended on 17 July.
Gallinara Island is located 1.5 km from the mainland, between the cities of Albenga and Alassio. The width and length of the island is less than half a kilometer (470x450 meters), it rises above sea level to a height of 87 meters.
