Jamala became the first Ukrainian ambassador of Spotify's EQUAL project

  The EQUAL project on Spotify is created to promote equality of women in the global industry and consists of a set of EQUAL music selections and sister programs. It is broadcast in 187 countries of the world, in particular in Ukraine. Spotify chose Jamala as the first Ukrainian ambassador for the global playlist and the first in its history — EQUAL Ukraine for International Women's Day. The track of the Ukrainian singer Take Me To A Place from the mini-album "Call" opens two music selections at once. In addition, the performer took part in the creation of playlists, providing recommendations on the strongest female artists of the Ukrainian scene. The March music selections of EQUAL Global and EQUAL Ukraine, which unite the most powerful female voices in music, are already available for Spotify users.

  Ukrainian online cinema Takflix released a selection of short animations " Secrets of Girls ". The collection includes five cartoons by Ukrainian animators: "Petrivka_requiem" about the decommunization of Kyiv; "Me and my fat ass" about accepting one's own body; "Deep Water" about female sexuality; "Tiger Roams Nearby" about getting out of a mental crisis; "Get out, Masha" about the real and online worlds.

An exhibition of sixties artist Lyubov Panchenko will be held in Kyiv

In Kyiv, an exhibition of the 60-year-old artist Lyubov Panchenko with Ukrainian national motifs will open in the Gulliver shopping center. The exhibition will feature paintings and collages, sketches of wardrobe elements and photos of outfits created by the artist. The event will last until the end of February. Also, on February 3 at 6:30 p.m., the lecture "Amazing Lyubov Panchenko" will be held in the art space on the fourth floor of the shopping center. It will be read by Olena Lodzynska, head of the Sixties Museum, researcher of Lyubov Panchenko's work. Entry is free with prior registration.

The New Yorker published a short film about the war by Ukrainian director Nadia Parfan

  Nadia Parfan was in the Middle East when Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began. "In this personal film-essay, she documents her painful return home," reads the film's description. The New Yorker published an international version of the film, where the author tells her own story with a voiceover in English. The Ukrainian-language version of the film can be watched in the Takflix online cinema until February 2 (only on the territory of Ukraine).

German railway carrier Deutsche Bahn sent 63 generators to Ukrzaliznytsia, plans to transfer 325 more in January

  The German railway carrier Deutsche Bahn sent generators to Ukrzaliznytsia to help it operate in the face of a shortage of electricity caused by Russia's shelling of its energy infrastructure. The first batch of 63 generators was sent on Friday from the railway station in Hannover to Kyiv, and in January, Deutsche Bahn plans to transfer 325 more smaller emergency generators. The transfer is gratuitous assistance of Ukrzaliznytsia. Two insurance associations have merged in Ukraine

  The insurance market associations LSOU and ASB (League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine and Insurance Business Association) have decided to merge. This is stated on the Facebook page of the ASB. "The decision was made by the relevant associations on December 22, 2022," the message reads. The parties signed the relevant memorandum of association. The new association will become the largest in the insurance market of Ukraine and will include 50 participating insurance companies. In 9 months of 2022, insurers participating in LSOU and ASB together collected more than UAH 4 billion in insurance premiums and paid out more than UAH 1 billion in insurance compensation.
