An enterprise for the production of Bayraktar UAVs will be established in Ukraine

As part of a joint project with Turkey, a Bayraktar TB2 UAV plant will be established in Ukraine.

Vadsim Nozdrya, General Director of Ukrspetsexport, told about it.

The selection of a place to localize such production is currently underway.

The parties are now agreeing on an obligation to fill the company with assets and a guaranteed first order.

Ukraine plans to get 48 drones, which the Defense Ministry will put into service in the Armed Forces.

Depending on the configuration, it is from 6 to 12 strike systems, the standard is four unmanned aerial vehicles per base station.

The complete set of complexes made in Ukraine can be changed, and due to the lower cost of man-hours in our country and other conditions of import of purchased UAV parts purchased by a Turkish manufacturer abroad, the price of the complex may decrease by 35%, said Ukrspetsexport CEO.

In the future, Ukraine will be able to independently export Bayraktar TB2 UAVs to third countries. The main condition is that it is not supplied to the market from a Turkish manufacturer. An example is Azerbaijan, which ordered a certain number of UAVs from Turkey.

Currently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have 6 Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles and three ground control stations.
