Master's student of Cybernetics, KNU Shevchenko Mitya Mitichkin reproduces the buildings of his university in Minecraft. According to Vazilik, among other works of the student - Motherland and the streets of his hometown Slavutich.
Mitya has been playing Minecraft for many years and has always wanted to reproduce his native places in the game. He is fond of modernism in architecture, so the choice fell on the buildings of his native university. Shevchenko.

“I like the construction process: I walked around and photographed the building, and in the game reproduced it for the photo, evacuation plans and details that remained in my memory. In the process of research, you recognize the building itself, you begin to notice details that you pass by every day and do not pay attention. You understand why the premises are located exactly that way, you create the best spatial picture in your head and you realize the ingenious architectural solutions included in the project, "Mitichkin said.
Having recreated the university buildings, he not only expressed his love for them, but also showed his attitude to what is happening now with these buildings and with Ukrainian modernism in general.
The buildings are constantly insulated, pasted over with glass wool and painted white, which, according to the student, significantly spoils their original appearance.
“Minecraft is a very interesting format for creativity. He imposes limits, but that's what excites me. After all, restrictions stimulate creativity. For example, the walls should be two blocks thick (~ 2 meters), because there should be different materials on both sides. Therefore, we have to be creative in order to maintain proportions and convey the real space of the faculty, ”says the guy.
