Ukrainian Air Transport Company sells three IL-76 aircraft

 

 

 

"Ukrainian Air Transport Company" will put up for public auction aircraft IL-76 TD (MD).
with reference to UMP.

It is reported that three aircraft will be put up for auction in Prozorro.

The auction will take place in a couple of weeks.

It is about:

IL-76TD, registration number - UR-UCC, board number - 78775, year of manufacture - 1988;
IL-76TD, registration number - UR-UCE, board number - 76398, year of manufacture - 1988.
IL-76 MD, registration number - UR-UCS, board number - 76444, year of manufacture - 1986.

The company has been undergoing rehabilitation for several years, and these aircraft last took to the skies more than 10 years ago, so their restoration will require significant resources.

"At the same time, these are quite valuable objects that can get a" second life "not even for their intended purpose - for example, to become a restaurant / attraction, or to become a resource base," Ukroboronprom said in a statement.

An independent technical evaluation will determine the initial value of these lots before the auctions.

Ukroboronprom's Procurement Department will provide additional information to potential buyers and help them inspect aircraft currently based in Boryspil.

It will be recalled that in 2019, plans were announced for the disposal of IL-76TD transport aircraft at the Zaporizhia Aircraft Repair Plant.

The planes belonged to the state enterprise Ukrainian Aviation Transport Company.
