Seeds were purchased in Poland for the project. Entrepreneurs plan to harvest 40 tons per hectare this year. After harvesting and processing, Vinnytsia pumpkins will go to Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland. According to the agreement, the price of one kilogram of pumpkins will be 8 eurocents. Three other companies from Lviv, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk received similar cultivation agreements.
Pumpkins are processed into flour at the Aurora trading house, which processes about 600 tons of pumpkins per season. After drying, most of the nutrients and vitamins remain in the product. Products are exported to the European Union. Some products are also sold in Ukraine under the Garbuzyak brand. Pumpkin flour is widely used in confectionery - baking bread, added to porridge or pancakes. Some products are also sold in Ukraine under the Garbuzyak brand.
Today, negotiations are underway with supermarkets for retail sales. Thanks to its own vegetable storage, Organic-D is able to keep the product fresh throughout the year. Further plans of the farm are to double the area under pumpkins.
