The Ukrainian company is developing the delivery of goods from European countries to a number of Dnieper ports

 

 The shipping company Argo Shipping, in addition to performing a number of flights to European countries, plans to operate flights to deliver cargo across the Dnieper from the Persian Gulf countries to Kiev with reference to the CTS.

In 2020, the company-owned ship Porada was already ascending the Dnieper to Ukrainka (Kyiv region), unloading 2,000 tons of Turkish cement.

    “Argo Shipping has already revived such lines as Zaporizhia - Italy, Zaporizhia - Greece, Zaporizhia - France and others. And this year it has already received requests from charterers for flights from the Persian Gulf countries to Kyiv. In April, one of the vessels of the group of companies was chartered for a flight from Zaporozhye to the French port of Foz. Therefore, we think that 2021 will be a year of new opportunities for the development of river logistics in Ukraine, ”said Oleksandr Nikulin, Commercial Director of Argo Shipping Group.

It is reported that in 2020 the company's vessels transported 710 thousand tons of cargo, which is 30% more than in 2019. Of this volume, more than 350 thousand tons were metal products, which were loaded in river ports on the Dnieper River and sent to seaports in the Black, Mediterranean, Adriatic Seas, as well as in European ports on the Danube. 

The company operates 13 fleet units with a total tonnage of over 44,000 tons, including 9 river-sea vessels and four river vessels.
