AvtoKrAZ JSC has announced the beginning of a strategic partnership with Proforce Limited in Nigeria.
The long-term cooperation agreement between AvtoKrAZ PJSC and Proforce Limited provides for the production of heavy goods vehicles under the KRAZ-PROFORCE brand.
"We believe that there are many synergies between our companies that can be used to create the powerful manufacturing capabilities needed for Nigeria," the press service wrote.
In the coming year, the partnership will focus on manufacturing trucks for the needs of the internal market and Africa.
The local market for KrAZ is not new - the company has long been successfully marketing its products in this country.
For example, at the end of 2015, a batch of KrAZ-6322 (6x6) chassis was shipped to Nigeria. All cars were right-hand drive, and the engines - Deutz 272 hp.
Prior to this, a group of Nigerian soldiers underwent a two-week training on the maintenance and operation of KrAZ brand equipment at the manufacturer's facility in Kremenchug.
KrAZ trucks were also supplied to Nigeria police.
