A new high-tech cluster has been created on the basis of Antonov

 

 On June 14, 2021, the General Agreement on the Antonov High Technology Cluster was signed at the Antonov State Enterprisу with reference to the press service of SE "Antonov"

The initiators of the Cluster were: SC "Ukroboronprom", SE "Antonov", the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU), the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The purpose of the Cluster is to achieve significant success in integrated development, implementation of high technology and production of aircraft, scientific, educational, innovative, production and commercial activities in the field of high technology to create new aviation systems based on integration of production, science and training, and also bringing innovative products to domestic and foreign markets.

The Cluster included: PJSC "Ukrainian Research Institute of Aviation Technology", Institute of Superhard Materials. V.M. Bakul NASU, Institute of Problems of Materials Science. IM Frantsevich NASU, Institute of Strength Problems named after GS Pisarenko NASU, Institute of Electric Welding. S.O. Paton NASU, Institute of Metal Physics. G.V. Kurdyumov NASU, Institute of Mechanics. S.P. Tymoshenko NASU, National Aerospace University. ME Zhukovsky "Kharkiv Aviation Institute", National Aviation University, National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky".

According to Yuriy Gusev, General Director of Ukroboronprom, this is a very important event that I announced at the Ukraine 30 Presidential Forum. A cluster uniting science, education and production is created on the instructions of the President of Ukraine. For several months we have worked fruitfully with the National Academy of Sciences, with the Ministry of Higher Education, with higher education institutions to create this cluster and the foundation for a new generation of engineers, designers, who I am convinced will first appear in our engineering and technological higher educational institutions, in the scientific programs of the Academy of Sciences and, of course, in the production of our aircraft and in general - in the enterprises of the defense-industrial complex. Today, the average age of chief designers at the enterprises of Ukroboronprom is 65 years old, which makes us think about what will happen in 5-10 years, what will be the designers and engineers at our enterprises, and what we need to do to make new Sikorsky , Queens, Antonov ».

First Deputy President of NASU Volodymyr Horbulin noted:

    "For me, the company" Antonov "- a sign of quality and reliability!" Among the promising areas of technology development, he singled out the creation of a new military transport aircraft, taking into account the experience of developing the An-70, as well as the possibility of using heavy aircraft An-124-100 "Ruslan" and An-225 "Dream" in space programs.
