Ukrspetsexport signs first contract for repair of Pakistani IL-78 aircraft as part of Weapons and Security exhibition
The state company Ukrspetsexport, part of Ukroboronprom, has signed the first contract for the modernization and repair of the Pakistan Air Force aircraft as part of the XVII International Specialized Exhibition "Weapons and Security - 2021".
On the second day of the exhibition, the Ukrainian company and the Pakistani side signed a contract for the repair of the IL-78 refueling aircraft, which is used to refuel other aircraft in the air. In addition, the IL-78 can perform the functions of a conventional transport aircraft for the needs of military departments.
"This is the second Il-78 repair contract for the Pakistani Air Force in the last year. In June 2020, Ukrspetsexport won a multi-million tender for the repair of a refueling aircraft. As a result, Ukrspetsexport has signed a contract with the Pakistan Air Force Procurement Department to repair military aircraft. The contract was successfully fulfilled by the Mykolayiv Aircraft Repair Plant, which is a part of the Concern, ”said Vadym Nozdrya, General Director of the state company Ukrspetsexport.
In addition, during the second day of the exhibition "Weapons and Security - 2021" the leaders of Ukrspetsexport held a series of talks with foreign high-level delegations, including Poland, Lithuania, Slovakia, Egypt, Nigeria, Vietnam, UAE.
We will remind, in October of last year the State enterprise "The Nikolaev aircraft repair plant" NARP "started repair of the Pakistani IL-78 refueling planes which occurs within the limits of signing of the first contract between Ukraine and Pakistan.
