Oleksandr Bondarev to make Formula Regional debut

The Ukrainian driver will join Van Amersfoort Racing for the final two rounds of the 2026 FIA Formula Regional European Championship (FREC). 

The 17-year-old driver will replace Francisco Macedo and make his debut in the championship this coming weekend in Imola, before finishing the season at Hockenheim.

For Bondarev, this is an opportunity to gain valuable experience at the Formula Regional level. Oleksandr currently continues to compete in the Italian Formula 4 and remains a member of the Williams F1 Team Driver Academy.
