At the World Cup stage in bullet shooting in Beijing (China), Petriv took sixth place and became the third Ukrainian shooter after Elena Kostevich and Pavel Korostylev, who managed to win a license for the Olympics.






Petriv in 2008 became the Olympic champion in speed shooting from a 25-meter distance. In the finals, the 44-year-old Ukrainian scored 0.7 points ahead of Ralph Schumann and beat the Olympic record (780.2 points).

Earlier, Elena Kostevich and Oleg Omelchuk broke the world record for bullet shooting.
