Xi Jinping congratulated Zelensky on his election victory

Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulated Volodymyr Zelensky on his election as President of Ukraine. About this on Saturday reported the agency Xinhua.
In a congratulatory telegram sent to Zelensky on Wednesday, April 24, Xi Jinping noted "success in the development of bilateral relations between countries since the establishment of diplomatic ties." The PRC Chairman also emphasized the importance of strengthening ties with Ukraine and said that Beijing is ready to work with Kyiv in order to raise mutually beneficial cooperation to a higher level in the interests of the peoples of the two countries.
On April 22, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Gen Shuang, commenting on the results of the presidential elections in Ukraine, said that China respects the choice of Ukrainians and intends to continue to build relations with it for the implementation of projects in a number of areas.
