Roberto De Zerbi: "Ukrainians showed a great spirit defending the country"

Recently, the miners arrived in Turkey and began preparations for the charity Shakhtar Global Tour for Peace. The team was joined by its head coach Roberto De Zerbi. The first comment of the Italian is given by the press service of Shakhtar.

— Roberto, how excited are you to be reunited with the team again?

“We are here more as friends than as coaches. We came to support our players and our employees, to help the whole of Ukraine.

There are a lot of rumors in the media about your future. What can you say about it?

— I still put Shakhtar in the first place in my thoughts about the future. Now we are all waiting to see what the scenario for next season will be.

— What would you like to say to Shakhtar fans and all Ukrainians?

— I want to express my deep respect to all people in Ukraine. They showed great spirit in defending the country. I believe that the war will end soon and we will play on the football fields.
