The EU is introducing free roaming for Ukrainians - who exactly has access to the service

 Calls for Ukrainians in EU countries will be free

Free roaming within the European Union is now available to migrants from Ukraine. The service will cover EU-Ukraine international calls.

This was reported on the website of the European Commission.

The corresponding statement was signed by 24 EU mobile operators and 3 Ukrainian mobile operators. The number of such operators may increase in the future.

"The joint statement aims to lay a more stable foundation to help displaced Ukrainians in Europe stay in touch with family and friends at home," the statement said.

How much will roaming be available?

Free roaming for refugees from Ukraine will be available for three months. After that, a decision will be made to continue or terminate the program - taking into account:

 

"changing situation";

humanitarian goals;

whether other long-term measures by government and / or industry will be appropriate.

Kyivstar canceled the fee for the popular service

Ukrainians who have gone abroad and are Kyivstar subscribers will be able to use mobile communication at the usual Ukrainian tariffs. This applies to 9 European countries.

The service will operate in:

Poland;

Slovakia;

Romania;

Hungary;

Moldova;

Germany;

Italy;

Lithuania;

Czech Republic.

If you want to stay with your usual phone number and use roaming in these countries, the operator's internal tariffs will apply to you.

It will be recalled that in Europe, mobile operators have introduced free services for Ukrainian refugees.
