Ukraine has agreed with SpaceX to launch a Ukrainian satellite
SpaceX has agreed to launch the Ukrainian satellite Sich 2-1 into orbit. Arrangements for the launch were reached last week during talks with the company with reference to UNN.
Negotiations between the Economic Development Committee with the participation of the State Space team with SpaceX have been going on since December 2020. Last week, Maska agreed to launch a $ 1 million satellite.
“The terms of the contract have been agreed in advance and Ukraine now has the opportunity to sign a contract for start-up services with an American company. The price of the contract is $ 1 million, which is an extremely pleasant price for Ukraine and eight times lower than the one planned from the very beginning, ”said Dmytro Natalukha, chairman of the parliamentary committee for economic development.
"If all technical obstacles are overcome and the relevant ministry does everything in time - the satellite will be launched in the year of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
Space will be either Ukrainian or it does not exist, ”Dmytro Natalukha summed up.

Development of the Sich 2-30 (2-1) satellite began in 2013 and was scheduled to be launched in 2017, however, it continues to be located on the territory of BC Pivdenne.
The issue of implementing the project to launch the Ukrainian satellite "Sich 2-1" (later renamed "Sich 2-30") was initiated during a field meeting of the Committee to the Dnieper, which took place on March 12, 2020.
