KPI is launching a School for the training of design engineers

 

 The Igor Sikorsky KPI is launching the School of Professional Development of Design Engineers.

The head of the State concern "Ukroboronprom" Yury Gusev reported about it, transfers UMP.

The School of Training of Design Engineers was named in honor of the outstanding aviation designer Oleg Antonov.

The relevant agreement was signed with the rector of the school Mykhailo Zgurovsky.

    “This event is only one step in the general map of large-scale restructuring, which was started in Ukroboronprom, but it is a very important step! After all, it directly concerns the model of creating new types of weapons and military equipment at the enterprises of the Concern and in the defense industry of Ukraine, ”Yuriy Gusev wrote.

Before Oleg Antonov's birthday, on February 7, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky instructed to launch a special training program for this school within three months.

According to Zelensky, ordering the first An aircraft for the Armed Forces has become a "sensation" and "should be the norm."

In addition, the President mentioned the aircraft designer Oleg Antonov, who was born 115 years ago.

This should become a joint project of Ukroboronprom, which includes Antonov, with the Ministry of Education and Science and NTUU KPI.

    "We understand well the global challenges of today: in the military conflicts of recent years, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, high-precision weapons and equipment create an extraordinary advantage on the battlefield," - said Yuri Gusev.

It is also stated that Ukroboronprom engineers with a degree in any field of technology can participate in the program, which is enshrined in today's agreement with KPI.
