The Sich-3-0 Earth remote sensing satellite will be able to be launched into orbit by 2026
The Ukrainian satellite for remote sensing of the Earth with an optoelectronic telescope with a meter resolution of Sich-3-0 can be built and put into orbit by 2025-2026.
This is stated in the story Security Talks TV channel Apostrophe TV, with reference to UMP.
According to Konstantin Bilousov, Chief Designer of Spacecraft, Complexes and Systems at Yangel Design Bureau, "all its proposals are taken into account in the draft Space Program of Ukraine, which is currently being considered by the relevant state institutions."
Currently, the satellite has already been designed by Pivdenne Design Bureau.
According to the plot, “the spatial diversity of Sich-3-O should be up to half a meter. With such a spatial difference from Earth's orbit, one can already observe a car or a crowd of people. ”
Such characteristics will allow to use the remote sensing satellite for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, according to the plot, the satellite Sich-2-1 (Sich-2-30), which is planned to be launched into orbit this year, will also be useful for the army.
According to Konstantin Bilousov:
“It is completely assembled, now electrical tests are being conducted. We have already completed more than half of these tests. ”
The spatial resolution of the Sich-2-1 satellite is 8 m. This, as the story goes, “will not allow you to notice a person, but the accumulation of enemy troops is quite possible. In addition, such a satellite can be used as a survey, because it will cover a band of 46 kilometers.
We will remind, earlier Ukraine agreed with SpaceX on launch of the Ukrainian satellite for 1 million dollars.
