Approximately 50% of businesses in Ukraine continue to operate

About 48% of surveyed businesses in Ukraine continue to operate. In particular, in the west of the country - 62% of enterprises, in the center of Ukraine - 55%. At the same time, among all entrepreneurs who continue to work, 85% noted a reduction in the number of orders.

This is stated in the results of the study Prozorro, with reference to the GMK center.

Another quarter of the participants answered that they are not able to work because their products are not in demand now. Also, 12% of respondents are not currently working, but are going to resume work in the near future.

Current economic conditions are forcing businesses to change their specialization. According to the survey, 6% of respondents have already changed, and 19% plan to change the focus of their business to better meet the needs of wartime. At the same time, 41% of businesses have not changed in their activities since the beginning of the war.

Many respondents had to lay off some workers, reduce wages or send workers on leave (35%), close production or shops (19%) and learn new activities (4%).

The study was conducted in late March. The selection of the survey covers 372 companies from all over the country that have previously participated in tenders for Prozorro. Most responses came from Kyiv and the oblast, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Lviv and Odesa oblasts.
