On the Kiev - Odessa highway a platform for weighing trucks in motion is set up

Ukravtodor showed the installation of a weight-in-motion platform on the M-05 Kyiv-Odessa highway km 36 + 303 in the Vasylkiv district.

Traffic restrictions apply on the site until 01/04/2020 in connection with the arrangement of the WIM 5 site "Design, supply and installation of six weighing platforms in traffic around Kyiv".
It should be noted that on September 20, 2019, the work of the first 2 (out of 6 planned) sites of the truck weighing system was presented. The pilot project involves 6 objects on the entrances to Kiev.

Implementation of the truck weighing system will allow Ukrainian roads to be exempted from vehicles that do not comply with the established weight limits and / or axle load and are one of the main factors in road destruction.

    "We are implementing European truck weighing mechanisms, which provides round-the-clock monitoring of traffic, automatic fixing of a number of traffic violations, as well as obtaining comprehensive information on traffic intensity and composition of traffic flows necessary for planning of repair and construction works," - said in Ukravto .

After completion of the pilot project with the use of weighing systems of trucks in motion with the help of Weight in motion (WiM) system, 100 to 200 sites with the same systems will be installed on the roads of Ukraine.

It is noted that 6 sites will operate in the pilot mode in Ukraine, which will operate in the pre-selection mode of vehicles for weighing.
