The 25th UAE did not reach Antarctica and returned to Kiev - WILL SEE ANOTHER WAY TO SUPPLY VERNADSKIY STATION

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team of the 25th Ukrainian Antarctic Expedition (UAE), which left for the Academic Vernadsky station a few days ago, was unable to reach Antarctica and was forced to return to Kiev today.

During the trip, the team was protected from the coronavirus as much as possible - everyone was provided with respirators, glasses, antiseptics and more. All were trained on WHO recommendations for the prevention of coronavirus infection.

Now the expedition members are feeling well, after landing the plane they underwent temperature screening. Despite this, the whole expedition voluntarily went for temporary observation, and a laboratory test for the presence of a coronavirus will be done next week.
