The National Bank promised to decontaminate banknotes

The National Bank of Ukraine reported on the operation of banks during the quarantine introduced due to the coronavirus pandemic, they said that they would decontaminate banknotes.

"The National Bank is ready to decontaminate hryvnia banknotes in the vault. In general, we advise all citizens to follow the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and visit public places as little as possible," the NBU said.

They recalled that Ukrainians can use remote banking and advised less to visit bank branches.
At the same time, the NBU promised to closely monitor that all ATMs were provided with cash.

"The National Bank is ready to do everything necessary to ensure uninterrupted cash services and replenishment of ATMs in case of increased demand for cash from the population," the NBU said.

Recall that the scale and swiftness of the spread of coronavirus infection in the world gives all the reasons to characterize what is happening not as an epidemic, but as a COVID-19 pandemic.
