The Turks will build a wind farm for EUR 100 million under Ovidiopol

Turkish company intends to build a wind farm (WPP) in the Odessa region for 100 million euros. The Memorandum of Understanding between the Odessa Regional Council, Ovid Nors LLC and the Turkish company Gurish Holding Anonymous Shirketi was signed on October 8.

The company prepares documents for the project of construction of wind farms in the territory of the Ovidiopolsk village council of the eponymous district. It is planned that the wind farm will have a total capacity of about 66 MW and an investment of around 100 million euros.

VO Head of the ODA Svetlana Shatalova said at the signing of the memorandum that she was doing so with great pleasure and hoped that in the future, together with Turkish colleagues, many more projects would be implemented that would provide safe and environmentally friendly energy.

“I thank the administration for the great support. We have already built and successfully launched the first station. It is very reliable and environmentally friendly. Therefore, I am very pleased that we will be able to build another one in the Ovidiopol district, ”said Turkish company representative Ilhan Yilmaz. He added that this would be the third holding in Ukraine.

Two weeks ago, the first wind turbine company built in Ovidiopolsky District opened. It is the most powerful in the region (the total installed capacity is 32MW.) The area was chosen not by chance, for four years there were measurements of wind force and speed, which proved to be the most suitable for the operation of wind farms.

It should be noted that the average daily power consumption in the Odessa region is about 800 megawatts.
