This year, Boryspil Airport has already served more passengers than for the whole of 2018.

By the end of October of this year, the passenger flow of Boryspil International Airport has already exceeded the figure for the whole of 2018 and amounted to 12 million 633 thousand passengers.

This was informed at the airport, reports Nova Vlada.

"The beginning of the week and we have good news! Today Borispol International Airport has served 12.633 million passengers. And this is more than for the whole of 2018," the airport said.

As reported, the airports of Ukraine for 8 months of 2019 received and sent 16.077 million passengers, which is 19.4% higher than the result for the same period last year.

Recall, the Minister of Infrastructure Vladislav Krikliy said that the number of Ukrainians using air transport will increase three times. It is also planned to increase the share of air routes that are carried out according to the low cost model, and reduce the tax burden by abolishing 20% ​​VAT on domestic flights. The ministry plans to propose the abolition of such a tax to the government in order to attract Ryanair to the domestic transportation market.
