In the Kherson region may appear cosmodrome
Within a few years, the head of the Dnieper company Space Logistics Dmitry Legeza may appear on the territory of Ukraine. According to him, now the company is working on a general issue of the possibility of its construction.
The managing partner of the company Tatyana Lyulka notes that the starting price of such a project starts at $ 50 million. The Kherson region is considered the optimal location for the project, and the construction possibilities were analyzed at the company for three to four months.
“When I just started asking these questions to knowledgeable people, I expected to be laughed out. But everyone took it seriously. It turned out that nobody studied the issue - there was simply no need, since there was Kazakhstan with Baikonur, ”says Legeza.
Recall that in mid-September 2019, the Verkhovna Rada adopted bill No. 1071 in the first reading, which opens up a space theme for private business entities. On October 2, Parliament adopted the document in the second reading. The explanatory note said that the adoption of the bill would create a competitive environment for development together with the public sector of the space industry and help attract investment in it.
