Bentonite production resumed in Cherkasy region

In the Cherkasy region, after a long downtime, the Dashukivsky Bentonites enterprise was resumed.
with reference to the press service of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration.

The raw material for bentonite production is a unique deposit of bentonite clays near the village of Dashukivka, Lysyansky district, Cherkasy region. This area is one of the largest deposits of bentonite clays in Ukraine. In June of this year, the company returned to its ownership the entire territory of Dashukovsky deposits of bentonite clays, renewed the license for subsoil use and mining and gradually resumes its economic activities.

The company is currently working to eliminate landslides in the quarry, which has been neglected since the end of its operation. The products of Dashukovsky Bentonites are used in the metallurgical, machine-building, oil and gas, chemical, agricultural, civil engineering and other sectors of the economy. Bentonite is a natural clay mineral that has the ability to swell when hydrated and in a confined space to form a dense gel that prevents further penetration of moisture.
