For the first time, 60 special vehicles will be purchased for the National Police for technical inspection of vehicles and roads

 The State Agency for Infrastructure Projects of Ukraine, within the framework of the program to increase the level of road safety, purchases special vehicles for the National Police of Ukraine.

This was announced by the head of the State Agency for Infrastructure Projects of Ukraine Kyrylo Khomyakov. with reference to the CTS.

"By the end of 2020, 30 specialized vehicles will be delivered to check the technical condition of vehicles and 30 specialized vehicles for instrumental inspection of the road network, technical means of traffic organization and recording of road conditions at the scene of an accident," the statement said.

It is noted that the cost of 60 cars is 120 million UAH, they will be assembled on the basis of Renault Master.

According to the State Agency for Infrastructure Projects, the police will check the technical condition of vehicles subject to mandatory technical control with the help of special vehicles. These are buses that carry passengers, trucks weighing more than 3.5 tons, taxis and cars carrying dangerous goods.

It is reported that special vehicles will drive in all regions of Ukraine and monitor traffic. If there are visible signs of technical malfunction - the police will check vehicles with diagnostic equipment - check the compliance of tires DSTU, smoke content, steering, external lighting devices and more.

The machines will also check the condition of the road network with the help of certified devices that will provide printouts of the condition, in particular, road signs, markings, potholes and noise lanes.

The State Agency for Infrastructure Projects stressed that such cars are being purchased for the National Police for the first time. The goal is to identify anything that could endanger road safety, to make roads safe, and to reduce mortality and accidents.
