The basis of the process should be the development of a promising type of military vehicles of the Armed Forces with subsequent stages of implementation of the conceptual foundations of development: development of a light multi-purpose vehicle and its modifications (4 × 4 wheel formula with a capacity of 0.75-1.5 tons) both for the transportation of personnel and small loads, and for the installation of weapons; development of a light family of car wheel formulas 4 × 4 and 6 × 6 with a capacity of 2-4 tons; completion of the development of a family of cars with a wheel formula of 4 × 4, 6 × 6, 8 × 8 with a capacity of 6-25 tons; development of a caterpillar multi-purpose armored tractor; development of a family of armored vehicles on car chassis; development of promising mobile means of maintenance, repair and evacuation of weapons samples. It is also necessary to replace vans, which are widely used for the installation of military equipment, various equipment, means of maintenance and repair of weapons and control and inspection equipment for container bodies.
