Ukrzaliznytsia plans to reach one million tons of cargo per day

 By the end of 2020, JSC Ukrzaliznytsia intends to reach 1 million tons of cargo per day.

This was announced on October 29 at a press conference in Kyiv by the Chairman of the Board of JSC UZ Volodymyr Zhmak. with reference to the CTS.

“In recent months, we have seen a revival of the freight market. Despite the economic crisis and restrictions caused by the spread of Covid, "Ukrzaliznytsia" has already attracted 814 thousand tons per day, which is almost in line with 2019, "- said Zhmak.

It should be noted that during yesterday's press conference the head of UZ also said that the company reached pre-crisis turnover and it practically managed to eliminate the shortage of locomotives by extending routes and better scheduling.
