In Kherson region, 700 thousand pups of pike were released into reservoirs
In April, the Kakhovka reservoir in Dnipro was resumed in Kherson region. The state budget has funded the stocking of more than 700,000 pike pups.
It is reported by the National Industrial Portal with reference to the press service of the State Fisheries Agency.
In the Drimaylovsk and Lyubimovsk Gulfs of the Kakhovka Reservoir, the Novokakhovsky Partial Fish Hatchery produced 700,876 specimens of 82 kg total pike. The weight of one specimen of fry was about 116 mg.
Control over the process of fishing and protection of habitats of aquatic bioresources was carried out by specialists of the Office of the State Fisheries Agency in Kherson region.
Fishing is one of the priorities of the State Fisheries Agency, which is an important component of the development of the fishing industry. Due to artificial reproduction, there is a significant replenishment of natural populations of native and herbivorous fish species, - said T.V. State Fisheries Agency Chairman Oleg Bazduganov.
In 2019, the plant flooded the reservoirs of Ukraine with almost 4.9 million copies of aquatic bioresources: 2.7 million copies of herbivorous fish and carp, and 2.2 million copies of pike, catfish and walleye.
