In Ukraine, a new online service for searching for travel companions RideCheap

Due to quarantine, Ukraine restricted public transport, and now many people cannot get to work. In this regard, in our country launched a new service online search for travel companions RideCheap.
What is RideCheap

RideCheap is a platform that helps drivers and passengers find each other to share travel costs. BlaBlaCar works on a similar model.

The service is already two years old - it was launched by Ukrainians Alexander Zhovnuvaty and Anton Moiseenko. We tested RideCheap in Ukraine, but decided to start in Canada, after Moiseenko moved there.

In Canada, about 5,000 people signed up for the service - mostly corporate clients. RideCheap is monetized by subscription - a rate of 30 Canadian dollars (about $ 21) a month. Companies buy paid accounts to organize the transportation of their employees to work.
Launch in Ukraine

Launch the platform in Ukraine to the founders was offered by their friends in Kiev after the introduction of quarantine. It was originally planned in such a way to help doctors get to work, but the service can be useful to any Ukrainian who needs to get from point A to point B in the absence of public transport.

In Ukraine, the service works for free and without territorial restrictions - it all depends on how many drivers are registered in each region. According to Zhovnuvatogo, now there are several dozen, but this number is growing rapidly.
