Darnitsa launches COVID-19 drug

The Ukrainian pharmaceutical company "Darnitsa" has been state-registered for an experimental drug that is included in the COVID-19 treatment protocol.

    “Positive news from the Ukrainian farm. As you know, many countries in the world have banned the export of medicines that have shown efficacy in combating coronavirus infection, and above all, provide domestic demand. We now have a decision: Darnytsa Pharmaceutical Company has been state-registered for a hydroxychloroquine substance - an experimental drug that is included in the COVID-19 treatment protocol, - wrote the People's Deputy from the Servant of People faction, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Health of the Nation health care and health insurance Mikhail Radutsky.

He thanked the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and SE “State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine”, “who worked in a coordinated and prompt manner to enable Ukrainian pharmaceutical manufacturers to market the necessary medicines quickly”.

Radutsky noted that for him it is a very positive signal from the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market.

    “We can provide Ukrainians with high-quality and effective drugs on their own - we have nearly 150 Ukrainian pharmaceutical companies. And more - to produce a quality product for export, to increase the country's GDP. But this is now, the fight against COVID-19 is ongoing and every effort is being made in this direction, ”the MP said.

As Ukrinform reported, as of the morning of April 15, 3764 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, 108 of which were lethal, 143 were recovered. There were 392 new cases recorded per day.
