Ukraine has bought several oil tankers in connection with a record fall in prices

The state-owned company Ukrtransnafta has started purchasing oil to replenish its reserves.

The first Free Spirit tanker of approximately 80-90 thousand tonnes of Azeri Light oil will arrive at the Southern oil terminal in the evening of April 21. According to the MarineTraffic portal, the vessel was loaded on April 13 at the Turkish port of Keihan. It should be noted that by the end of this week another oil tanker will arrive in Ukraine.

The company explains its decision to begin procurement with a record decline in world oil prices. Thus, due to the fall in demand due to the pandemic of the coronavirus, oil prices in March fell to a minimum of 20 years.

Today, Ukrtransnafta has 11 reservoirs with a total capacity of 1,083 million cubic meters. m.
