Ukraine will supply medical alcohol to Europe to help other countries fight the pandemic

Initially, Ukraine will fill the internal market with alcohol, and then it will be able to provide it with assistance to European countries. This decision has already been approved by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

This was reported in the press service of the Cabinet.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal also thanked the EU ambassador for an assistance package of 80 million euros, which will support the Ukrainian health care system and economy.

    “I am grateful to the EU Ambassador to Ukraine for his strong support. For its part, Ukraine is also ready to support the EU. This issue has already been agreed with President Volodymyr Zelensky. Ukraine is one of the world's largest producers of medical alcohol. Now our plants are operating at full capacity, and when the domestic market is secured, we are ready to provide this resource to help other countries, ”Shmigal said.
