A powerful husk heating plant has started operating in the Kharkiv region

A thermal power plant on sunflower husk has started operating near Nova Vodolaga in the Kharkiv region. BioTPP was put into operation by the Agroliga group of companies.

The construction of the station lasted two years. It is planned that the company will reach full capacity by the New Year. The station is equipped with two steam boilers with a capacity of 16 tons / h each, a steam turbine unit with a capacity of 7 MW, an ash removal system, a dry cooling tower with a closed water cooling system and other necessary units. The emission monitoring system and treatment system allows to remove 99% of ash, which will comply with Ukrainian and European standards. The station will operate on sunflower husk or pellets.

Sunflower husks will be transported from oil press plants. The former waste - about 14% of the total mass of processed sunflower seeds will become environmentally friendly renewable fuel, - the company said.

The Agroliga group of companies cultivates about 10,000 hectares of land. The capacity of the company's butter mills is 42 thousand and 110 thousand tons per year.
