IKEA will open its first store in Ukraine in October
Once again, IKEA announces the opening of its first store in Ukraine. The opening is planned in the capital's Blockbuster Mall.

According to the information, the company has already started renovating the premises for its store in the Blockbuster Mall. This is currently the network's third attempt to open a full-fledged store in Kyiv. The IKEA press service has not yet commented on this information.
IKEA has been trying to enter Ukraine for 14 years. In 2006, the chain planned to build its own shopping center near the Boryspil highway on a 70-hectare site, but then local deputies opposed the project, banning deforestation for the new store. For three years, IKEA still bought 60 hectares of land in the Odessa region, and then decided to leave Ukraine without explanation.
The Swedish retailer made a new attempt to conquer the Ukrainian market in 2018, when it officially announced its intention to open a store in Ukraine.
