UIA plans to launch routes from Dnipro and Kharkiv. This was stated in an interview by UIA Vice President for Commercial Affairs Serhiy Fomenko.

with reference to the CTS.

According to Fomenko, UIA plans to expand the geography of domestic flights and, in addition to Odessa, Lviv and Kherson, to expand it also at the expense of routes from the Dnieper and Kharkiv.

"It simply came to our notice then. If the situation develops well, there may be more Zaporizhia and Chernivtsi, ”said UIA's Vice President of Commercial Affairs.

According to the top manager, all these flights will be performed from Kiev, from the base airport of the airline - Borispol.

"Due to" restrictions for tourism through COVID-19 there is a tendency to travel in Ukraine and we hope that our "tourist magnets" will play a positive role in the development of domestic flights. But on the other hand, UIA's domestic flights will be built in August according to a schedule that allows those who fly on business to spend a full day in the capital. Also, our schedule provides the possibility of transfers to UIA international flights. As we increase international flights to the West, people will have more opportunities for such transfers, ”he added.

It is noted that the airline will continue to work on the old model, when most domestic flights were tied to international transfers.

Fomenko also added that the new routes will be on the schedule until October 26.

“Summer ends in aviation on October 26. Therefore, we expect that it will be in the summer navigation of this year. And in the calendar summer, we will mainly direct our forces to Kherson and Odessa, where a combination of business travelers to Kyiv from these cities and Kyivites who fly to the sea is possible, ”he concluded.
