The question is no longer about the crisis: when to wait for 5G in Ukraine?
I believe that somewhere in 2022 auctions for frequencies and licenses should be held, and somewhere in 2023 construction will begin, or rather commercial operation of 5G networks. I do not really believe in any large-scale, 5G carpet construction in Ukraine. Too low customer demand, that is, objectively, we are the country with the lowest check in Europe from one subscriber. It will be difficult for us to invest in a new direction. In addition, unlike LTE, 5G does not provide such a qualitative leap. Today there is a need, this needs are 99% covered by the LTE standard.
5G will become more necessary for operators than for users. We see the concentration points of our subscribers, especially in big cities, and we realize that we will run into the capabilities of LTE: the technology simply cannot cater for demand. And then we will begin to finish building 5G.
